The Shia Scholarship
In 2024, Shia’s birth changed his family forever. His extra chromosome offered unique challenges and wonderful discoveries—both in his development, and for his family as well! Shia’s Down syndrome diagnosis meant that he received multiple therapies to help him reach important milestones; his enrollment at Blossom Music Tree was one of those interventions. It became obvious that the developmentally appropriate curriculum and the opportunities for socialization were incredible assets to his growth. Ms Beth is ‘Grandma’ to Shia, and after attending Ms Daveen’s class with him, the idea to create Little Bellows Music began! Shia’s family is passionate about the positive impact of Music Together and the inclusivity of the program, so they created The Shia Scholarship. Each semester, Little Bellows will offer full tuition for one class term to a child with Down syndrome.
