Fun. Fabulous. Uplifting. Magical.

These are just a few of the ways that parents describe Music Together classes!
Little Bellows Music Class
Each 45-minute class includes singing, creative movement, rhythm and instrument play. Over the course of the session families will explore and experiment with rhythm sticks, egg shakers, resonator bells, gathering drums and more. Making music with others builds relationships and our community of families is supportive and welcoming.

CHILDREN AGED 0-5
Mixed Age Classes

Our Mixed Age classes for children 0-5 create a warm, family-style environment where each child participates at their own developmental level. Rooted in research, babies observe and respond, toddlers explore and play, and preschoolers grow into confident leaders, all learning from one another through rich, hands-on musical experiences.

CHILDREN AGED 4-8
Rhythm Kids

Students learn to compose, choreograph, and conduct as they play—and play with!—a variety of musical instruments: West African djembe drums, percussion instruments, and, the most important instruments of all, their voices and their bodies. As your big kid learns to think and create like a musician, they’ll also build musical connections to the global community.

Two types of Rhythm Kids music classes are available: Level 1 for four- and five-year-olds in Pre-K, and Level 2 for kindergarteners, first-graders, and second-graders.

FALL SESSION COLLECTIONS

This fall in our Mixed Age session, families will come together to sing, play, laugh, and learn with the Music Together Bongos Song Collection. The songs include lots of upbeat, active songs like "See How I'm Jumping," our take on the timeless nursery rhyme "Hey, Diddle, Diddle," and beautiful melodies such as the Japanese song "Hotaru Koi" and "Walking through the Woods."

In Rhythm Kids, we'll explore the Hippo Rhythm with drumming patterns based on rhythms used in Gahu, the popular, recreational dance of the Ewe people of Ghana. We'll learn 20 songs, including “Gahu Ee” a call-and-response song from the Ewe people of Ghana, Togo, and Benin in Western Africa and the traditional Andean folksong, “La vicuñita,” often heard in Peru, Chile, Bolivia, and Argentina. The "Hip Hop Hippo" rap will let children break out their hip-hop dance moves!
